These comprehensive Terms of Use ("Terms") outline the conditions and expectations governing the booking and use of our studio facilities at Finchley Studios. Please read and understand these Terms carefully before booking and using our studio. By booking and using our studio, you agree to abide by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please refrain from booking or using our studio.
Finchley Studios, operated by Finchley Creative Productions Ltd (Company No. 13458404) and Finchley Studio Ltd (Company No. 13503710) under licence from iFilm B Ltd (Company No. 09068730), the official leaseholder. The premises located at Unit 1, Dollis Mews, London N3 1HH and 22-23 Arcadia Avenue, London, United Kingdom, N3 2JU are occupied under a formal licence granted by iFilm B Ltd (Company No. 09068730), the official leaseholder. By booking a session with us, you grant Finchley Studio Ltd the right to use your name, company name, screenshots, and short clips from your session for marketing purposes, including use on our website and social media. If you prefer for this not to happen, please notify us in writing prior to your session.
1. Booking and Availability
1.1. Our studio facilities are available for booking from 6 AM to 10 PM, 7 days a week, subject to availability.
1.2. All bookings must be made through our official booking system or by contacting our management directly.
2. Content Restrictions
2.1. While we aim to provide a versatile and creative space, we have certain content restrictions in place. You may not use our studio facilities for any content that is explicit, offensive, or illegal.
2.2. If you plan to create content that falls into the above-mentioned categories, please contact our management before booking to discuss the nature of your project.
2.3. If there is an outstanding balance on any of Finchley Studios’ recordings or edits, we reserve the right not to release the files or, if files have been delivered, to restrict your use of them until the balance is paid. All footage recorded at Finchley Studio remains the intellectual property of the studio until any outstanding matters, including disputes, have been resolved. The footage provided is therefore for review purposes only, and no publishing or distribution rights have yet been granted.
3. Specialised Use
3.1. If you intend to use our studio for purposes outside the ordinary and general hire of the studio (e.g., live events, specialised setups, extended hours, or unique requirements), you must discuss your requirements with our management before booking.
3.2. Finchley Studios management reserves the right to approve or deny specialised bookings at their discretion.
4. Payment and Cancellation
4.1. Payment for studio hire is required in advance at the time of booking. Quotes are valid for 30 days.
4.2. Cancellations must be made at least 14 days prior to the booking to receive a full refund. Cancellations made within 14 days of the booking but with 48 hours notice may be exchanged for studio credit. Credit expires after six months. Cancellations made within 48 hours of a booking's start time are subject to a 50% cancellation fee.
4.3. Refunds or rescheduling may be considered in exceptional circumstances at the discretion of Finchley Studios management.
4.4. Late Payment Policy: If payment is not made by the agreed due date, statutory interest will be charged at 8% per annum plus the Bank of England base rate. Additionally, a fixed compensation fee will be applied as follows:

£40 for debts up to £999.99

£70 for debts from £1,000 to £9,999.99

£100 for debts of £10,000 or more
4.5. Any outstanding balance must be cleared before the recorded files are shared with the client.
5. Studio Rules and Guidelines
5.1. Users are expected to treat our studio facilities, equipment, and other users with respect.
5.2. Users are responsible for any damage to the studio, furniture, or equipment during their booking. If any equipment or furniture is damaged, the client is responsible for covering the damage and must make amends or replace the damaged item within 7 working days after being informed.
5.3. All users must follow the safety guidelines and instructions provided by Finchley Studios staff.
5.4. Printing services are complimentary for the first 10 pages per booking. Thereafter, a charge of £0.65 per page will apply.
5.5. We do not provide storage. Items left in the studio will be disposed of or given to charity after 30 days.
6. File Handling and Retention
6.1. The recorded files will be shared with the client within 5 working days. While we aim to deliver files within 72 hours, our commitment is 5 working days. If delays occur, we will notify the client promptly.
6.2. All files will be removed from our hard drives 30 days after the filming date, so please ensure you download and back up your files within this period.
7. Complaints and Dispute Resolution
7.1. Any complaints raised by users will be dealt with within 14 working days, and we will do everything we can to resolve the matter to avoid escalation.
8. Liability and Insurance
8.1. Finchley Studios is not responsible for any personal injury, loss, or damage to equipment or personal belongings during your booking.
8.2. Users are encouraged to carry their own insurance to cover any potential liabilities or losses.
9. Termination of Booking
9.1. Finchley Studios reserves the right to terminate any booking immediately if a user violates these Terms or engages in any behaviour that endangers the safety or well-being of others.
9.2. In case of termination, no refunds will be provided.
10. Privacy and Security
10.1. Finchley Studios may collect and process personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
10.2. Users are responsible for the security of their personal information and property during their studio hire.
11. Changes to Terms
11.1. Finchley Studios reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Any changes will be effective upon posting on our website.
12. Indemnification
12.1. Users agree to indemnify and hold harmless Finchley Studios, its employees, agents, and representatives from any claims, liabilities, damages, or expenses arising from the use of our studio facilities.
13. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
13.1. These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Kingdom, and any disputes arising out of these Terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the United Kingdom.
Recording Disclaimer and Production Liability
This policy forms part of Finchley Studios’ Terms of Use and applies to all bookings and use of the studio facilities.
This Recording Disclaimer and Production Liability Policy outlines the responsibilities, limitations, and expectations associated with recording sessions and media production carried out at Finchley Studios.
This policy should be read alongside Finchley Studios’ Terms of Use, which govern all bookings and services provided by Finchley Studios.
By booking and using Finchley Studios’ facilities, clients acknowledge and accept the conditions outlined below.
1. Professional Recording Environment
Finchley Studios provides professional recording facilities, equipment, and technical support for podcasts, video production, photography, and other forms of media creation.
We take reasonable care to ensure that recording sessions run smoothly and that all equipment and systems are properly maintained and operated.
However, all recording and production environments involve complex technical systems and human operation. As such, technical interruptions, equipment malfunctions, or unforeseen circumstances may occasionally occur.
While every effort is made to minimise such risks, Finchley Studios cannot guarantee that recordings will always be completely free from technical issues.
2. Technical Limitations and Recording Risks
Recording and production sessions may be affected by technical factors including, but not limited to:
• equipment malfunction or hardware failure
• software errors or system interruptions
• storage media failure or file corruption
• electrical or power interruptions
• wireless interference or signal disruption
• human or operator error
• compatibility issues with third-party equipment
• environmental or unforeseen technical circumstances beyond our control
Finchley Studios makes every reasonable effort to operate equipment correctly and maintain professional standards, but no recording environment can guarantee fault-free operation at all times.
3. Production Outcome Disclaimer
Finchley Studios provides studio facilities and technical support but does not guarantee any particular creative, artistic, technical, or commercial outcome from the use of the studio.
The client remains responsible for the planning, direction, and overall success of their production, including:
• content preparation
• guest or talent performance
• production direction
• creative decisions
• editorial and marketing outcomes
4. Recording Issues and Session Interruptions
In the unlikely event that a recording issue, technical interruption, or production problem occurs during a session, Finchley Studios will assess the situation and determine the most appropriate course of action.
Where reasonably practicable and appropriate, Finchley Studios may offer the opportunity to reshoot or re-record the affected session.
Any such reshoot will depend on:
• the nature and cause of the issue
• studio availability
• the requirements of the original production
• the circumstances that led to the issue
5. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Finchley Studios’ total liability arising from any studio booking, recording session, or production service shall be limited to the amount paid by the client for the specific studio booking in question.
Finchley Studios shall not be liable for any indirect or consequential losses, including but not limited to:
• loss of business or revenue
• loss of opportunity
• marketing or campaign costs
• talent or crew expenses
• production or post-production costs
• reputational damage
• third-party claims
6. Client Backup Responsibility
Clients are encouraged to implement their own backup recording systems where recordings are critical or irreplaceable.
Finchley Studios cannot be held responsible for the absence of client-side backup recording arrangements.
7. Third-Party Equipment
Where clients bring their own equipment, cameras, microphones, storage media, or other technical devices, Finchley Studios cannot guarantee compatibility with our systems.
Finchley Studios is not responsible for the malfunction, failure, or performance of third-party equipment used during a session.
8. File Delivery and Storage
Recorded files will be delivered in accordance with the timelines outlined in our Terms of Use.
Clients are responsible for downloading and securely backing up their files once delivered.
Finchley Studios cannot be held responsible for file loss after the retention period stated in our Terms of Use has expired.
9. Acceptance of Production Risks
By booking and using Finchley Studios’ facilities, clients acknowledge that all recording environments involve inherent technical and operational risks.
Clients accept these risks as part of the production process.
10. Relationship With Terms of Use
This Recording Disclaimer and Production Liability Policy should be read together with Finchley Studios’ Terms of Use, which form the binding agreement governing all bookings and studio services.
In the event of any inconsistency between this policy and the Terms of Use, the Terms of Use shall prevail.
