For Dialogue and Lounge Gold and Platinum bookings, Finchley lists cloud file delivery within three days of the session. That is a recording-file handover window, not a promise that an edited episode or social clips will be ready within the same time.
Check the selected recording package and agree any deadline-critical requirements before booking. Other spaces, bespoke productions and editing work need their own confirmed delivery plan.
Name the milestone you need
“Ready by Friday” can refer to several different things:
| Milestone | What you should be able to do |
|---|---|
| Recording files delivered | Download the agreed sources |
| First edited draft | Review the initial assembled episode |
| Revised draft | Check the agreed changes |
| Approved export | Receive the final version for distribution |
| Published episode | Make the content available on the intended platform |
Give a date and time for the milestone that matters. If your communications team needs an approved video for a launch, receiving raw footage on that date will not meet the same need.
Work backwards from publication
Leave space for downloading and checking the recording, editing, review, revisions, final export and platform upload. A timed public release may also need checks after upload.
The amount of time depends on the job. A straightforward conversation with supplied graphics is different from an interview needing substantial restructuring, animation or several cutdowns. There is no useful universal editing multiplier to apply to every episode.
Ask the editor to estimate the schedule from the actual brief. If Finchley will edit, discuss the editing package and delivery milestones alongside the recording booking.
Remove avoidable approval delays
Send approved logo files, names, titles and other essential assets by the agreed deadline. Tell the editor which sections require particular attention and which take to use when there are repeats.
Nominate one person to collect feedback. A single consolidated response is easier to act on than contradictory comments arriving from several reviewers.
Agree how feedback will be supplied and when it is due. Check that the final approver will be available; a recording schedule cannot account for an unplanned week waiting for sign-off.
Ask about earlier delivery before recording
If you need files sooner than the listed window, explain the reason and exact deadline before paying. Ask what can be arranged, what is included and whether it changes the quote.
Do not assume bringing a drive guarantees a same-day handover. A physical transfer needs its own equipment, time and verification arrangements.
Likewise, ask how the three-day wording applies to your particular date if weekends or holidays affect your plan. Do not convert it into a promise of three working days or an exact 72-hour deadline without confirmation.
Confirm the delivery contact and access
Provide the correct recipient and check that the editor can use the agreed transfer method. Keep sufficient download time and storage in the schedule, especially for several video sources.
When the files arrive, compare them with the agreed list promptly. Report missing material while the session details are still easy to identify.
For a podcast studio in London with a release date to meet, send Finchley your deadline and production brief. Agree recording delivery, editing and approval milestones before fixing the publication plan.
