Receiving recording files and receiving a finished podcast are different milestones. Plan your publishing date around the complete workflow, including transfer, editing, review and final export.

Raw files need a handover process
A session can generate several camera and microphone recordings. Their size, the transfer method and the checks required all affect when the handover is complete.
If you need a physical copy, agree compatible storage and the time needed for transfer before the session. For cloud delivery, identify the recipient and make sure they can download the full media package.
Editing creates a separate timeline
An editor may need to synchronise sources, remove material, balance audio, match cameras and add approved graphics. Social extracts and captions create further tasks. The time required depends on the brief and the material, not only the finished episode length.
Schedule review as a real stage. Delayed branding assets or conflicting feedback can push final approval back even when the first cut arrives on time.
Work backwards from publication
- Set the required publication date.
- Allow time for final checks and uploading.
- Reserve a review and revision window.
- Agree the editing schedule.
- Confirm when source files will be available.
Build in contingency for large downloads and any correction that requires a new export. Avoid announcing a release based solely on the recording date.

How Finchley Studios handles this
Finchley's published recording packages describe cloud file delivery within three days of the session. That is distinct from an agreed post-production schedule. If you have a launch deadline, tell us before booking and confirm the recording handover, edit milestones and approval responsibilities in the project scope.
